Personal Vision

Picture
When I think ahead 20 years, it’s hard for me to imagine for one reason. That reason is because I haven’t really narrowed down what I want to do yet. There are a lot of things that interest me, like sports, and videogames, but I don’t know if I can see myself doing something like that in the future.

One of my dreams since I was a kid was to be a sports broadcaster. This would be the perfect job for me because I absolutely love sports. To get paid to announce sports would be the best thing I could ask for. That would be a long road there because I would have to go through many different types of broadcasting to get to the point where I want to be, which is behind the mic broadcasting through the T.V. I realized that it would take me quite some years to get there, since all the good broadcasters are in their 40’s or higher. To get there I would need to go to community college first then transfer to a school that has a good broadcasting class, like SF State.

Another option for me would to be a chef. I really like to eat and cook food. It would also be really easy getting there because I would just have to go to culinary school. The only problem with this is that I wouldn’t get paid much until I got to a top of the line restaurant, which once again would take time. I want to make money, but not that late into my career.

Something else I have been considering in videogame designing. I enjoy playing videogames and I think it would be a fun and exciting job. The only problem with that would be I get home really late, have to eat, and then go to bed. I’m not into that. But, if I were to become interested, I would need to go to a graphic designing school. I do not know of any places of the top of my head, but it would require going to community college first most likely.

Another option would be to follow my dad’s footsteps and become an insurance broker. It seems at least a little fun, and it pays well. I would need to go to community college and transfer to Berkeley and get a degree (since that’s what he did).

Overall, I see myself having a really good life making good money, with a wife and kids, and having season tickets to all my sports teams
